Valga Valka City Run Traffic Information

Traffic restrictions in Valga:

25 April 2026:

• Parking is prohibited on Kesk Street, Riia Street, and in the parking lots of Valga St. John’s Church.
• Traffic will be closed on Riia Street and Raja Street (on the section between Raja bus stop and Riia Street) from 15:50 to 17:00 for the Jüriöö relay race.

26 April 2026:

• Traffic will be closed and parking prohibited from 08:30 to 16:00 on Riia Street and in both directions of Kesk Street.
• Traffic will be closed and parking prohibited on Metsa, Rahu, Julius Kuperjanovi (section between Rahu Street and Ernst Enno Street), and Ernst Enno (section between Julius Kuperjanovi Street and the Pedeli riverside pedestrian/cycling path) streets from 12:30 to 15:30.
• From 12:30 to 15:00, the Tartu Street – Rīgas iela border crossing will be closed.
• Exit by car from Jõe and Pedeli Streets will be closed from 13:00 to 15:00.
• Local residents are advised to park their cars outside the race route if they need to travel during this time period.
• Traffic will be closed on Raja Street between Kesk Square and Riia Street from 10:15 to 12:00.
• Traffic will be regulated at points where the course crosses Raja Street, Tartu Street, and Pärna Boulevard between 12:45 and 15:00. Vehicles will be allowed through based on the marshals’ judgment when possible.
• Longer waiting times may occur, and it is recommended to use Pikk Street to cross the Pedeli River.
• Public transport will be rerouted and will not serve the following stops: Konnaoja, Music School, Town Hall, White House, Valga Suurekõrtsi/Ernst Enno, and Allika.

Local residents, emergency vehicles, and service transport will be allowed through at the earliest opportunity under the guidance of traffic controllers. Roads will be reopened progressively immediately after the race distances are completed and traffic management equipment is removed.

Traffic restrictions in Valka:

• Traffic will be closed on 26 April 2026 from 12:30 to 15:00 on Raiņa, Poruka, Rīgas, Emīla Dārziņa, Ausekļa, Smilšu, and Sēlijas streets.
• Parking will be prohibited on 26 April 2026 along the race route on Raiņa, Rīgas, Emīla Dārziņa, Ausekļa, Smilšu, Sēlijas, and Poruka streets.
• Public transport will be rerouted and will not serve the following stops: Prokuratūra, SEB Banka, and Kultūras nams.
