Pühajärve SwimRun Baltic Challenge takes place on Saturday, 15 July 2017.

 

  • 9.00 - Race centre is opened on the beach of Pühajärve Holiday Resort
  • 11.00 - Youth start
  • 12.00 - Main start
  • 14.30 - Youth and Main race awards ceremony

 

Pre-race briefings are at the starting area 15 minutes before the respective start.

 

16.00 - Pühajärve Open Water Swimming (Estonian Open Water Swimming Championships)

Course Description

SwimRun is a multisport event where participants need to either individually or in teams of two complete multiple stages of swimming and running. It is important to stress that the competitors need to carry all the necessary gear with them and there are no transitions between the stages for changing clothes or equipment (e.g. you swim with your running shoes and sports clothes still on).

 

About SwimRun (ENG).

 

The SwimRun competition that is being organized in Estonia for the first time runs clockwise around the picturesque Lake Pühajärve. The course starts from the Pühajärve Holiday Resort in the direction of Pühajärve Beach.

 

  • Total length of the course ca 12.00 km
  • Swimming distance ca 2.0 km (9 swims)
  • Running distance ca 10.0 km (10 runs)
  • 2 service points

The Youth race course of Pühajärve SwimRun Baltic Challenge is on the territory of Pühajärve Holiday Resort and Pühajärve Beach

  • Total length of the course ca 2 km
  • Swimming distance ca 300 m (2 swims)
  • Running distance ca 1.7 km (3 runs)

 

A more detailed course will be disclosed in May 2017.

I registration stage lasts until 31 May 2017

  • Youth E, D, C - 5.00€
  • Youth B, Juniors, Main Class, Veterans - 15.00€
  • Teams - 25.00€

 

II registration stage lasts from 1 June to 9 July 2017

  • Youth E, D, C - 7.00€
  • Youth B, Juniors, Main Class, Veterans - 25.00€
  • Teams - 45.00€

 

On-site registration (up to 30 minutes before the respective start)

  • Youth E, D, C - 10.00€
  • Youth B, Juniors, Main Class, Veterans - 35.00€
  • Teams - 65.00€

 

Participation fee includes

  • high-quality organization of the race by the Sports Club Meie Liigume
  • a numbered vest
  • timing by a timing chip
  • a swimming cap by the organizer
  • service on the course and at the race centre
  • a participation medal
  • medical aid, if needed

 

All participants confirm with their signature (in the case of minors, the signature of a parent or an adult accompanying the minor) that they have read the competition instructions and that their state of health enables them to participate in the event. The participant is personally responsible for the consequences of their actions and their inaction during the entire event. The participant participates in the event of their own free will and acknowledging all dangers, and will not turn any damages claims for any direct or indirect damages caused by participation in the event against the organizers. 

Other Information

Pühajärve SwimRun Baltic Challenge is a part of the programme of Pühajärve SwimRun Weekend taking place at Pühajärve on 15-16 July 2017. In addition to the SwimRun competition, on the evening of 15 July, there is also the Estonian Open Water Swimming Championships by Lake Pühajärve, and on Sunday, it is possible to take part in the first Pühajärve Aquathlon.

 

  • the organizer reserves the right to make organizational changes on the day of the competition
  • the organizer reserves the right to make changes in the competition instructions and in the race course
  • all participants confirm with their signature (in the case of minors the signature of a parent or an adult accompanying the minor) that they have read the competition instructions and that their state of health enables them to participate in the event. The participant is personally responsible for the consequences of their actions and their inaction during the entire event. The participant participates in the event of their own free will and acknowledging all dangers, and will not turn any damages claims for any direct or indirect damages caused by participation in the event against the organizers. 
  • three best competitors of all age groups and three most successful teams are rewarded in the competition
  • the competition results are disclosed at the competition site, and on the web page of Meie Liigume within the working day following the event
  • in the swimming distances, it is obligatory to wear the swimming cap provided by the organizer; if this requirement is ignored, the organizers have the right to deny the competitor in question access to the starting area
